Williams Testing offers Laser Profiling. The Laser Profiler is used in conjunction with the TV Camera to identify pipe ovality as well as other pipe conditions. With laser profiler software, measurements can be made of the various pipe features such as pipe size, pipe ovality, water levels, laterals as well as other pipe conditions. The Laser Profiler can operate in pipe sizes ranging from 6” up to 72” in diameter.
In September 2006, the FDOT made Laser Profiling a mandatory requirement in their TV inspection specifications.
