Chemical Grout Stops Leaks in Sewer Pipes & Storm Drains

Most infiltration enters the sewer system through joints, manholes and the first few feet of the service connection. The best and most economical way to stop these leaks is through Chemical Grouting.

Chemical Grouting is a proven, cost effective and long lasting process for stopping water and sand infiltration in sanitary sewer and storm drain pipes. Not only does Chemical Grout stop leaks by forming a waterproof grout collar around the joint, it also consolidates with the soil to form a water impermeable grout/soil mass. The grout can withstand normal ground water movement, resist fracturing upon exposure to dry conditions and in documented field studies, has provided over twenty years of leak free service.

Williams Testing uses experienced grout technicians and the latest in grout technology to grout stained and leaking joints in sanitary sewer pipes, service connections, manholes, lift stations and storm drains. Leaking joints not yet visible to the camera system are readily detected by Williams Testing’s Packer Testing System. Using air, the Packer can determine the integrity of a joint before the leak becomes visible. Joint testing and sealing is the most full proof method of grouting as joints are isolated using the injection packer and then tested for leaks. When a joint fails the air test, the joint is grouted. A TV inspection of the entire test and sealing process is recorded for later viewing and verification.

Williams Testing has been successful in eliminating infiltration and exfiltration of water in manholes and pipes through the application of chemical grouting.

Williams Testing has capabilities to Grout pipe sizes from 6" to 96" in diameter.

Williams Testing uses Chemical Grouts as manufactured by Avanti International.
